SOIL, PATIENCE AND PRECISION
Lauriane Oberto is a perfumer who also farms: some of the materials she composes with grow on her own land, starting with her Rose de Mai.
Trained at ISIPCA, she spent seven years as a perfumer at Concept Aromatique before going independent at the end of 2023.
The same year, she took over her family estate in the Grasse region, where she works as a winegrower and farmer, the fourth generation of a family of winegrowers and perfume-plant growers. She harvests her own Rose de Mai in Callian near Grasse.
From this double practice, the vine and the perfumer's organ, came Cépages Parfums: the niche house she founded in 2024, where wine and perfume are born on the same hillside. Eau Lithique, Taniros and Borderline are its first chapters.
Her Rose de Mai she has planted, waited for and harvested before composing with it and that experience of one material, followed from the field to the formula, changes the way she reads all the others: what a raw material can and cannot do, and what a vintage changes in a composition.
